Update on the Dragon and What he has been up to!

Hello my dear readers!

I know it has kind of been a hot minute since my last post, and for that I must apologize. A lot of things have been going on over the last month that have kept me both busy and unmotivated to write anything on here.  

Lets talk about the bad and then I will talk about the good so we can end on a lighter note.

My retail job was kind of turning into a bit of a dumpster fire. A little bit of back story on that end would be that for a while now I had been trying to get a raise, get a promotion, anything to make enough money to cover bills.  I kept getting stonewalled left and right.  This is a common story these days though.  Well while I was getting stonewalled, the manager was hiring many new people that were basically coming into this as their first jobs. Now let me preface the following with this, I in no way blame these young people for the issues I was having, nor the better treatment they were receiving. That said, they were making as much if not more than I was as their manager.  The last one hired was actually hired for one of the positions I had been trying to get promoted to for a decent amount more than I was making.  After these hires I kinda got shafted on duties and generally lost all motivation I had for being there.  Money was extremely tight and things were heading downhill rapidly for my wife and I financially.  

In fact my motivation for pretty much everything just completely crashed.  I spent time staring at the blog hoping that something would come to me to break the funk.  Played way too many video games hoping for a little serotonin. Cried a few times, which is rare for me as I just have a lot of trouble showing any emotions.  We were at rock bottom, somewhere I have been many times in my life but...

All was not lost!

I found a job listing for a position that payed an actually manageable wage and so my wife Raven and I left and applied.  Both of us got the job and actually begin training tomorrow!  Now this wont be something I will talking about much, had to sign a NDR and some other stuff so it won't come up real often. But it is a new start!  I am genuinely excited for it. We dyed our hair again, Raven went with a cherry color and I went with my favorite Arctic Fox color aquamarine. Some financial maneuvering got us out of the whole we were in, and now we are set to have a good thing going. Raven even made new friends for us, and her plushie business is doing pretty great!  

I won't sugar coat it, the last few years have been a bit of a train wreck for us, and we needed something good to come our way.  Now we are determined to make the most of what chance has given us.  

As for the blog, I will try to be more active on here as things begin to flow into a rhythm.  If at all possible I will try to get a new post out on Friday.  Some new info has come out about a few of the games and movies I have been looking forward to and that definitely will give me a few things to write about!
